Our Roots

Cultivating botanical precision indoors.

Understory Greens bridges the gap between urban centers and nutrient-dense agriculture, growing pristine culinary-grade microgreens sustainably.

The Founders

Sown from a simple question.

We founded Understory Greens to challenge how cities get fresh food. By utilizing vertical soil beds in a controlled indoor climate, we bypassed long-distance supply chains to deliver living trays directly to local chefs.

Our mission is simple: to provide hyper-local, nutrient-dense agriculture year-round. Every crop is monitored under high-key daylight conditions, ensuring peak flavor profiles and crisp textures.

Zero Runoff

Ninety-five percent less water.

Our vertical soil beds operate on a closed-loop system powered entirely by renewable energy. We consume a fraction of the water of traditional farming while producing zero chemical runoff.
